David Tonemah has over twenty years of experience working in management and administrative positions, acquiring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the working of the Indian health delivery system. He has worked with a gamut of professionals from Indian Health Services to Tribal and Urban health programs.
Mr. Tonemah is the former Medical Services Director of the Native American Community Health Center in Phoenix, Arizona where he oversaw all clinics and programs, developed and reviewed contracts, and ensured compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
He also served as Health Department Business Administrator for the Wassaja Memorial Health Center in the Ft. McDowell Indian Community, and as Budget Officer for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
An expert in organizational strategic planning, accreditation, program planning and business administration, Mr. Tonemah received his MBA from the University of Phoenix and has a BS from Oklahoma Baptist University in Healthcare Administration.
